MCSD Certification
What is MCSD certification? MCSD stands for Microsoft Certified Solution Developer and is designed for professionals who design and develop bespoke business solutions using Microsoft tools. The scope for this particular level of training covers individuals who may provide business analysis through supporting that business solution.
Applicants are generally already working within the IT industry and may be software developers, or technicians. Minimum two years experience is preferred. On completion of MCSD certification, graduates should be competent in developing applications such as individual and multi-user, N-tier, Web-based, and transaction-based applications.
What is the importance of MCSD certification? It has been well recognized for a long time that in general terms, the more highly educated a person is, the more they can earn. In addition to this, job security is likely to be higher when compared with a less well-educated colleague.
People may question the validity of becoming properly certified and may argue that it is far cheaper to become self-taught. In reality, a self-teaching student may not grasp the full curriculum required, and can only seek help from books and the internet without the additional value of a teacher explaining or demonstrating a particular concept. Certification proves to a current or potential employer that an individual has passed set criteria in terms of knowledge and ability to apply that knowledge. MCSD certification is the same throughout the country, so there should not be any geographical variations depending on where a person studied, unlike some subjects.
